Inner Balance Counseling was founded by Lauren Crawford Taylor LCSW with the understanding that life’s difficulties are opportunities to grow and transform. From the moment you walk into our office, you’ll find that authenticity is at the core of our practice. At Inner Balance Counseling we are passionate about personal growth and healing. Lauren Crawford Taylor founded Inner Balance Counseling with the belief that life’s challenges provide an opportunity for people to know themselves more fully and to create positive change. Since 1999, Lauren has been helping people improve their health and well-being, as well as discover their strengths and natural resiliency.
She is an interactive, down-to-earth therapist who works with clients in a manner that is compassionate, nonjudgmental, direct, and honest. Lauren is a lifelong learner with an interest in the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy. She has trained in LifeForce Yoga (yoga for mood management), EFT (tapping), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting and Buddhist psychology.
Her holistic approach, grounded in a mind, body, and spirit framework, makes gentle-natured, sensitive individuals an ideal fit for Lauren. Those who value introspection, inner peace, and personal development will gain particular insight from her east meets west therapeutic approach.

Emily Hood

She/Her
Emily works with adults and teens who are dealing with stress, anxiety, workplace or productivity burnout, depression, insomnia, grief, trauma, low self-confidence, conflicts, family issues, and other difficulties life throws our way. She is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and can help clients with general sleep hygiene or help them work through a structured, research-based cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia plan.
Emily incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and other tools to help clients to find new and healthier ways to approach life challenges, understand their emotions and find different perspectives. She is an empathetic listener and provides a safe space for her clients to embrace who they are.
Emily received a Master of Education in Counseling from the College of William and Mary. She operates under the direction of Lauren Crawford Taylor, LCSW and under the clinical supervision of Ruby Blow, LPC.

Hillary Olson

She/Her
Hillary specializes in working with people to navigate anxiety and perfectionism, identity exploration, and healing from attachment trauma. She has an affinity for working with LGBTQ+ folks and those exploring nontraditional life paths. Her work with clients is centered on collaboration. Both she and the client work together to develop tools and skills tailored to specific goals.
Her approach draws on evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, and ACT, tailored to unique client needs. Hillary utilizes mindfulness, existential conversations, and pattern disruption to help clients achieve their goals in therapy. Her perspective is trauma-informed, sex and body-positive, and anti-racist.
Hillary received a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia. She operates under the direction of Lauren Crawford Taylor, LCSW and under the clinical supervision of Dr Tara Arnold, PhD, LCSW, CEDS.

Trey Jackson

Trey Jackson is a holistic practitioner who works with adults and teens from a mind-body-spirit framework. He has a passion for helping clients uncover and integrate trauma stored in the body, through somatic and polyvagal therapeutic approaches and is trained in EMDR. Trey also incorporates tools from Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, mindfulness, and parts work as deemed helpful for individual clients.
Trey has helped many clients shift from self-sabotaging, self-harming and addictive tendencies, to healthier behaviors and coping mechanisms. He encourages clients to become accountable to themselves, while meeting them with compassion.
Trey received a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia. He operates under the direction of Lauren Crawford Taylor, LCSW and under the clinical supervision of Amy Robbins, LPC, ACS, CPCS.

Jessica Taylor

She/Her
Jessica believes we hold within each of us the path to our own healing. She aspires to hold a safe space for her clients to explore, blazing their path to reach the end goals they set for themselves. She strives to be fully present, to work from a place of authenticity, humor, and compassion, and to set judgment aside so that her clients may feel comfortable to BE themselves. She is grateful to have the opportunity to collaborate with and build the trust of her clients.
Jessica works individually with adults and adolescents and supports her clients from a person-centered foundation and also pulls from her knowledge in somatic support of trauma, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parts work, bilateral guided drawing, executive functioning skills, and her previous training in yoga and mindfulness.
Jessica received her Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in Colorado and her previous Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Georgia. Jessica operates under the direction of Lauren Crawford Taylor (LCSW) and under the supervision of Julie Coker (LPC, CPCS, NCC).

Jolia Alexander

She/Her
Jolia provides therapy services for all-gendered adult individuals, couples, and families. She uses an integrative approach and various therapeutic modalities to best serve her clients. She specializes in Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients recognize the power they have to create a new, more accurate perspective when the current one no longer serves them. She utilizes inner-child work and attachment styles to help clients understand how they develop and embody perspectives that influence the way they manage circumstances.
In her work with couples, Jolia's approach is enriched by her training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), allowing her to guide partners towards deeper connection and understanding. She utilizes sex therapy techniques to support couples in rebuilding their intimacy after experiencing mistrust, as well as support individuals in reclaiming their sexuality by overcoming unhelpful beliefs that limit their exploration and self-confidence.
Jolia received her Master of Education and Education Specialist degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from The University of Florida. Jolia operates under the direction of Lauren Crawford Taylor (LCSW) under the clinical supervision of Dr. Erika Pluhar, LMFT.

*For those interested in couples work, April asks for a commitment of weekly sessions when initially starting treatment. Bi-weekly can be discussed if there are financial hardships or significant scheduling problems.
April Hinrichsen

April is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 14 years of experience. April graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology. She furthered her studies at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA where she earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
April specializes in supporting relationships. She works with couples who are feeling disconnected/unheard and longing for a change. Whether stuck in reactivity or quiet disconnection, April will walk along side each partner to understand where and why you keep getting stuck (i.e. having the same, repetitive argument). She teaches clients how to exit those patterns and gain the skills to hear each other in those difficult moments. Through this work couples are able to rebuild intimacy, trust and get back to the foundation of love and security between them.
With individuals, April works with: Young adult issues/ life transitions, Mood regulation (Anxiety and Depression), Self-esteem/Identify development, Perfectionism/ Burn out, Poor/ineffective boundaries with others or ineffective relationship patterns, Stress management/Test taking anxiety (April has extensive experience helping law school students prepare for the BAR exam)

Danielle Jeraci
LPC
She/Her
The primary intention of Danielle’s counseling work is to guide her clients towards the embodiment of self-love, where they are able to form thriving relationships and feel more fulfilled in all areas of life. She believes inner peace is found through developing an authentic identity and living according to personal values. She helps clients facilitate the connection between the mind and the wisdom of the body and emotions, while also using goal setting and accountability to keep clients on track towards becoming their ideal selves.
Danielle has a passion for helping those stuck in victimhood move to a place of ownership and creatorship, in which triggering situations are identified, reframed, and reinterpreted with the help of EMDR, IFS, and polyvagal theory to process traumatic events. EMDR intensives are offered for clients who wish to dive deeper in a shorter time period. Not only is EMDR a rapid way for healing trauma; it is also used for enhancing performance in areas such as athletics, business, and relationships.
She is currently in training as a sex therapist and offers support around that area, such as overcoming sexual shame or trauma and reclaiming sexual pleasure and intimacy. She also excels at infusing spirituality and soul-based living into her therapy, depending on her clients’ preference.

Heather Hewett

Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has been providing individual, couples, family and group therapy since 2007. Heather specializes in evidence-based practices, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. Specializing in trauma, she also utilizes trauma-informed treatment modalities, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Prolonged Exposure.
Heather has extensive experience working with adults and adolescents, and she is skilled in addressing a range of clinical issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationships. Heather uses a strengths-based approach to support her clients in reaching their full potential. She incorporates a blend of compassion and accountability to assist her clients in achieving greater self-awareness, acceptance, and change. Through these things, Heather believes, one can cultivate a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

Rebekah Baldwin

With a profound belief in the transformative power of self-discovery and intentionality, Rebekah partners with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Whether clients are looking to achieve specific goals, invest in personal development or find a greater sense of overall well-being and fulfillment, working with a holistic life coach provides guidance, encouragement, and accountability.
Rebekah’s goal in working with clients isn’t to change who they are, but to help them understand and step into more of who they truly are- and then to create a life that reflects that. She believes that this process is the most rewarding project we could ever take on.
Rebekah has a Master’s degree in Humanistic & Transpersonal psychology from the University of West Georgia and is currently enrolled in a 6-month coach training program through the Holistic Coach Training Institute.
Rebekah is also the Practice Manager at Inner Balance Counseling. She is dedicated to ensuring our clients’ experience is one of ease and clarity.
